How to Unlock or Hack memory card when you forgot your memory card password

Some times it happens that you forgot the password of your memory card and you have lots of your important data in your phone.
So there are two types of methods for recovering the password of your memory card with the help of nokia phone.
For Nokia s60 1 st and 2nd edition phones. 1. First Install FExplorer in your phone memory. 2. Got to drive C:, you will find a file called mmcstore 3. Send it to your pc directly and open it in notepad or rename the file. 4. At the end of the file you will find your password.

For Nokia S60 3rd Phones, Nokia N-Series and Nokia E- Series There is almost no way yet known to hack the memory card password in case of these types of phone but there is a way to do it some of the s60 3rd edition phones and almost all the E-series phones. The remote lock option in E- Series phone allws you to unlock your phone by sending a sms. The only thing you have to do is to activate this feature by going to Tools | Settings | Security | Phone and SIM | Allow remote lock menu. The password of your memory card will be your remote lock message . So you have to just send a sms containing your remote lock message that will automatically change your memory card passsword.

If you have any queries in following the above procedure leave a comment here.

The Foundry Keylight v1.2v7 (for Combustion)

The Foundry Keylight v1.2v7 (for Combustion) | 7.16 Mb

Keylight is an Academy Award winning keyer. It is simple to use and is particularly good at tackling reflections, semi-transparent areas and hair. Because spill suppression is built-in, often selecting the screen colour is all you need to do to pull the matte and seat the foreground into the background so it looks photographed rather than composited. Keylight comes with a suite of tools to erode, soften, despot and otherwise manipulate the matte should the need arise. Inside and outside matte inputs are supported. Separate colour correction, suppression and edge correction tools are also included to fine tune the result. Keylight for Combustion is only supported on Windows.

Keylight has been used on scores of films including: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Die Another Day, Blade 2, Resident Evil, Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone, the Beach, Notting Hill, Sleepy Hollow, Chicken Run, Lost in Space, The Hudsucker Proxy, The Truman Show, Armaggeddon, The Big Lebowski, Mission Impossible, Last Action Hero, The Saint, Strange Days, Little Buddha, Waterworld, The Quick and the Dead and many, many more.

Transfer contacts from a nokia s60 phone to s40 symbian phone

Anyone may have to transfer the contacts from one phone to another phone, if your old phone is malfunctioning or in a case when you may want to change the mobile phone model.

Latter is the case is with me as I want to change my mobile phone from Nokia 6600 to Nokia 5310. So ,now for transferring the contacts from nokia 6600 to nokia 5310 I searched almost every method and software but, still none of the software work for me as both of the above phones have a different base operating system.

But finally I had to use one the worst ways out for transferring contacts i.e using a sim card for storing the contacts.

A normal sim card can hold around 250 contacts so depending on the number of contacts you may need one or two sim card.

In order to transfer the contacts follow the process below

1. Go to your phone contacts and copy all the contacts to sim card.

2. If your contacts are greater than the memory size of the sim card ,first check upto which contact it got transferred to sim card

3. now insert the sim card in the new s40 phone and copy all the contacts from sim card to phone memory.

4. Repeat the steps until you are able to transfer all the contacts.

5. I know this process is really cumbersome but unfortunately this is the only way out.

Increase and Regain the original backup of your phone or laptop battery

I have been receiving a lot of mails from some readers asking on how to deal with the weak battery problems of their laptops and mobile phones.

As day by day their mobile and laptop batteries are becoming more and more weak so the backup time of the battery decrease gradually.

Why Battery Backup Time Drops ?

This occurs mainly due to the rough usage and improper charging of the battery at multiple times for a very short interval or also due to the extensive charging of the battery for a long interval of time.

How To regain the original increased backup time for your laptop and phone batteries.

1. Firstly drain your phone or laptop battery completely until the device gets shutdown due to battery.

2. Now simply charge your battery for a fixed time according to the manuals provided with it at the time of purchase.

3. Repeat the step 1 and step 2 for about 2 times a day fro 3-4 days.

If you really do the steps given above you will noticeably see a change in the backup time of your battery of phone or laptop.

Mobile phone viruses, simple measures to protect yourself

The Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA) has developed consumer tips to assist users to protect themselves against the risk of mobile phone viruses.

This guide explains what viruses are, how they spread, and what can be done about them.

What’s a mobile phone virus?

A mobile phone virus or mobile malware - malicious mobile software - is a computer virus specifically adapted for the mobile phone environment and designed to spread from one vulnerable phone to another.

A virus is a program code that replicates by being copied to another program. Viruses can be transmitted as attachments to an email or in a download file. Some viruses take effect as soon as their code is executed; other viruses can lie dormant. A virus that replicates by resending itself as an email attachment or as a part of a network message is known as a worm.

Viruses can range from benign to quite harmful; they can erase data from the infected phone or send fake messages purporting to be from the phones owner. How prevalent are mobile phone viruses? The current security risk from mobile phone viruses and worms is low.

Until many more smart phones or PDAs are in use, and users of these phones are regularly exchanging executable files, the risk will remain low. The mobile industry takes the threat of viruses very seriously and is continually monitoring its networks and working to protect users from any future risk from mobile phone viruses. There are also some simple measures that individual users can implement to protect themselves.

What can I do to protect my phone?

The following tips can help prevent problems with viruses on your phone:

1. Switch to Bluetooth hidden mode. If your phone has Bluetooth capability, ensure that the Bluetooth capability is switched to hidden or invisible mode unless you specifically need it to be visible. This will help prevent other Bluetooth-enabled devices from finding your phone (unless you grant them the necessary permission) and will therefore help protect your phone from worms that spread using the Bluetooth wireless technology.

2. Exercise caution before opening attachments. When accepting applications sent via Bluetooth, or opening MMS attachments, exercise caution, just as you would when opening an email attachment on your PC, because they may include harmful software. Ensure the application or attachment comes from a known source, and is wary of opening files that have unfamiliar text attached to them, even if they come from someone you know.

3. Only download content from a trusted source. Trusted sources may include operator portals and other well-known brands that offer adequate protection against viruses and other harmful software. Be aware though that, as with emails, malicious or fraudulent users may be able to fake the appearance of a trusted source.

4. Consider anti-virus software. Some software is available to prevent phone viruses. You may wish to consider downloading this software.

5. Contact your phone manufacturer if concerned. If you think you have a virus, call the phone manufacturer’s care line. They can assist you confirm if it is a virus, and help fix the problem.

Tips and tricks UMTS only

A friend of mine called me on fring a few days ago and said he had found something that I might want to share with the entire fring community. He’s based in the UK and since he is sometimes forced to use a GPRS connection and not 3G, his fring calls are not as good as he would like them to be.

On some networks, you may be able to improve your connection by changing the settings on your handset from using fring in dual mode to UMTS/3G only. To change this on your Nokia handset, simply go to Tools –> Settings –> Network. Under the ‘Network Mode‘ tab, change it to ‘UMTS‘ or 3G instead of GSM or dual mode.

I’ve tested it here and it seems to be working just fine… no more GPRS for me.

There is however a disclaimer for this tip: My friend is based in Europe and we’ve heard from a few more users that this tweak of the settings helped them get a better voice quality. However, if the 3G deployment is not so good in your country - you might have to skip this tip. But you know what? It doesn’t cost you anything to try. Right?
How do you make a fring shortcut on your standby screen?

As a musician I know that if I have my guitar locked in the closet and not on its stand, I can go on a few days without playing a note. What does that have to do with fring? It’s a metaphor! See?
Today we will learn how to make a shortcut for fring so you won’t have to go through 4 menus before you get it started.
So how do you do that?

It depends…

If you love fring and would like to place a shortcut on your Left/Right softkey, go to ‘Tools‘ –> ‘Settings‘ –> ‘Phone‘ –> ‘Standby Mode‘. Go to the Left/Right selection key menu item and choose fring from the list. At the same place you can choose whether you’d like fring to start every time you hit the Left/Right/Up/Down joystick.

If you really love fring and would like to place a shortcut on one of the 5 applications on the top of your active standby screen, go to ‘Tools‘ –> ‘Settings‘ –> ‘Phone‘ –> ‘Standby Mode‘ (make sure you have ‘Active standby’ mode set to ‘On’), click on ‘Active standby apps‘ and choose the exact location you’d like to use.
